Jesus was GAY? God loves you. point, blank, period.

OMG, I felt the need to edit my original description after noticing on this site and other GLBT sites the struggle still exists and with such an important election upon us allowed myself to actually watch my posted video. In 1998 when it aired and the process of taping it all took some pride, a couple of my T-cells, and frankly was sick of talking about ME ME ME. God Works in mysterious ways and though this video has been posted around the net I never felt the need to watch it again now just decode and upload. The Irony in certain parts and my need to keep it together so not to look melodramatic. I owe all of the direction and editing to celebrated award winning Jehane Noujaim who was my "go-to" director and how she fought MTV to keep our piece longer. I think I requested and used over 5 tapes of Thom. Jehane is now a celebrated award winning documentarian and for those 6 weeks my therapist and friend.
It was suppose to be about Spirituality in all forms not a political piece in which it became. The older man I interview at a Christian Bookstore and how his certainty about gays and marriage is like WOW, we have come a long way in 10 years or at least started to in the late 90's and now after 8 years of absolute incompetents filled with greed, wars, and lies have to as a community Gay and Straight need to take charge as a people and get Barrack Obama nominated. Now looking back from 1998 to 1988 realized we have made such progress but still have a ways to go. One thing is clear our GLBT community as a whole we are unstoppable. I felt the need to edit this posting and video description for if not for those before me, the die hard Gay Activists this video would never have happened and most likely I would be dead from Gay Cancer True pioneers of Activism/Activists/Act-UP. Gay warrior's like Larry Kramer, Rev Mel White, all the way back to the Stonewalls Drag Queens and their back up of gay patrons. Then their are those who didn't volunteer to become part of the political system and literally crucified by having their lives taken based upon the rights some of us now enjoy and take for granted today. a young Teena Brandon or Matthew Shepard just wanted to be like everyone else to fit in. It's 2008 and GLBT more than fit in today but we can get married in some states but it's a start, adopting babies, starting our own families just like everyone else? I only put a question mark at the end of that sentence because if you like me feel fitting in is fine but just because we can get married and raise kids does not guarantee happiness. My happiness comes from knowing I have a choice to choose what life I will lead. B it single, bi, transsexual, celibate, kids, no more straight and gay but equals. Gosh I am sounding like Babs here, sorry. Finish the mess on or in one of my blogs etc.
