I initiated this group, and I hope it will grow and turn into something useful to everyone. Some of us have permanent disabilities, while others may only be temporary - this group is for those living it as well as their friends.
We grow strength in community, this is why I thought it would be good to have this group. I hope to see many of you here, and again, a warm welcome to you all :-)
Glad to see a response :-) The site is still building members and the group is still small, but I am hoping we'll take off and find an exchange of ideas, experiences and new friends. I have epilepsy and a brain tumour, but these things don't define who we are - I'm hoping we'll all get to know the person and not the disability.
How long have you been dealing with both if I may ask? Are the 2 related?
Best,
Avery

Hey Avery
They are indeed related, epilepsy is a symptom of the tumour - but stuck with both for life and has taught me valuable lessons. Amazing how different life looks now. The tumour I have had for a decade and the epilepsy, just one year. Going for surgery this year - finally!
My name is Marc and I am new to this community and thought I could join here, so I did. This group is simular to what I am working on and can see great benefit for all involved. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hi Marc
Ditto to Avery's comment. What are you working on? We could promote or discuss it here. The group is growing, hopefully the word will get out beyond this site and attract people who need a place to chat, meet, etc.
Search+ (advanced member search) is visible only to members. We are also testing Chat, the buttons are located at the bottom right corner of the window. Please sign in or sign up for free now.
