Guitar Hero or RockBand?

Well I might hold off a bit on the Rock Band for now because Guitar Hero is comming out with a scheme just like it. I personaly like the colour codedness of Guitar Hero but Rock bands cool too. I want Guitar hero for the helpfullness but Rockband for the downloadable songs and the new scheme to make ur own songs.

hi all!
i just found this group and had to join in.
the downloadable songs area a plus for Rock Band. Plus it's more "rookie" friendly for new players. I find that with Guitar Hero, you're almost left guessing when to play your notes because the music doesn't want to coincide with the screen.

I think you might wanna go with what you feel comfortable playing. I am liking both Guitar Hero and Rockband. Both have a guitar and I personally enjoy playing Guitar Hero.

If you want me to be honest than I'd say Guitar Hero for now. It lets you get the basic function of playing. Unless you like the drums or singing. Let us know what you have decided.

Guitar Hero is harder than rockband as far as the guitar playing is concerned (as that is GH's focus!) and rockband does have the xtra band peripherals (though as Anothony stated, GH will have a similar setup in the fall[click here for more] but without the mic). I think I heard that the new GH will have a "practice arena' type situation wherein you can 'write' your own songs and send them to others to play -- now that sounds great!!!


P.S. -- the rockband guitar is better, though -- IMHO

Rockband is coming out with a new version this sept. U might want to sit tight and wait 1 more month.

personally....um...idk i mean if you have alot of friends over then id recommend Rock band, cuz u have alot of stuff to choose from, while guitar hero is more like a few friends kinda thing, it really depends on the person XD...sorry if i didnt help im just trying to help out haha

Well honestly i say buy the rock band disc and the guitar hero set :) Guitar hero world tour instruments look like they are going to be much more impressive.

I like guitar hero. It gives a better challenge for me on the guitar and if you have an xbox 360 you can download different songs. Rock Band is good too i just dont like it as much. it might actually be better than guitar hero in some cases.

Its like guitar hero, but more options if you get bored of guitar
