Bi/Gay organizations worldwide are trying to legalize same-sex marriage. Do YOU support that? As a gay man or bisexual man, do you want to get married with another man?

Same sex Marriage is on top of many bi/gay organization's agenda, especially after Canada and Spain successfully passed laws to allow same sex marriage. Do you think our political organizations should work towards legalizing gay marriage? Personally, I have mixed feeling about this. I am of course for gay/bi men having equal rights as straight men, but I also think we should not just blindly imitate straight people. Besides, some other political projects such as allowing bi/gay men to serve openly in the military, end employment discrimination based on sexuality, are much more important to me.

I read an article the other day that suggested that " straight People" were the odd one out- imagine for a moment that the straight lifestyle was wrong, or different.
Funny hey! Or unusual.
Well I think gay people need to stop this I'm different I'm this that or whatever.
If I want to get married- its my choice to marry. Fuck the law, the law that opposes same sex marriage. Its my right- its my entitlement!
In South Africa is is an open society.
Gay people need to stop thinking they " different". The bloody straight people are different. Amazing how we dont judge straight people for there choice to marry!
I see no reason why anyone can not marry anyone they wish. Why should the befefits of marriage, taxation, inheritence, etc advantages, be denied to couples who choose to mate with someone of the same sex.
Marriage should be a religious only situation. Government has to get out of the marriage business. People spend a lot of money getting married and getting divorced. It is just wrong. As a person with no family, and going through my 2nd (last) divorce, I should not be forced to get married for the reasons given to support same sex marriage. Inheritance and hospital visitation issues should be every person's right to choose. By the way, there is no tax advantage to marriage in the US, that is why we call it the marraige penalty. If you are married, but separated, look out!
Maybe I am bitter about the whole marraige thing, but I think it needs to be up to the churches and get government out of it completely.
